Mixing Engineer, Pianist; Composer
Qianyang Zeng is a music producer and second-year graduate student in NYU's Screen Scoring program. He began his musical training with classical piano at age six, later studying composition under renowned composer Xie Peng at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where he also worked as a mockup assistant and copyist. His work spans independent films, anime, and games—including Gacha!, selected for NYC's MetroCAF 2024. His work has been recognized at NYU’s Unsilent Film Concert. He was also named a finalist in the 2025 Oticons Faculty Competition.

Shihmeng Ching (he/him) is an award-winning composer and songwriter from Taipei, Taiwan. Rooted in classical and rock, Shihmeng began writing music as a guitarist and then continued to explore new possibilities in his sound as a multimedia composer, taking inspiration from various forms of media including: concert, electronic, and experimental music, to scoring for film, animation and video games. His work has garnered critical acclaim, including scoring trailers for the major mobile game title Brawl Stars and scoring a promotion short film for sustainable fashion brand ISABOKO.

January Yucheng Li is a New York-based composer, producer, singer-songwriter, and Cucurbit Flute player from China. January’s eclectic musical voice spans multiple genres, from emotional romantic orchestral to electronic pop music, infused with his unique and singular style. His work has been recognized at international film festivals and performed live at events such as NYU’s Unsilent Film Concert. He was a 2024 Semi-Finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) and has received awards including the Golden Prize from the London Young Musician Competition and the Silver Prize from the Saint-Saëns International Music Competition.

Zekai Liu is a composer, music producer, and audio engineer pursuing a Master’s in Screen Scoring at NYU. His work spans film, games, and animation, blending classical, rock, and electronic elements into emotionally-driven soundscapes. Recently, he scored the short film Goods and the game Once Upon a Bird, and plays guitar for the band 2061. He studied advanced sound design techniques in Prague, collaborating with Sennheiser and other industry professionals in high-fidelity recording environments.

ZhuohanZhao is a concert composer, film and game scorer, sound designer, singer-songwriter, and vocalist from China. Their music is highly versatile, seamlessly integrating their own vocals into compositions for immersive, emotionally evocative soundscapes. As a multidisciplinary artist, Avalon moves fluidly between genres and media—from classical concert works to cinematic film scores and interactive game soundtracks—bringing a consistent emotive power to every project.

Yeung Liu is an electronic music producer, composer, and sound designer with solid experience working on film, animation, and game projects. His work focuses on blending electronic sound design with acoustic elements to create detailed and emotionally engaging scores. Yeung is especially skilled in genre-crossing compositions and has a deep understanding of synthesis and audio programming. He also performs on the Electone (electronic organ), which adds a distinctive character to his musical voice.
